How long have you been in business?
The Balanced Body Shoppe has been offering massage and bodywork in Greenville since 1995
What is your primary product or service?
We have four (4) massage therapy rooms and offer MediCupping as well for the face and/or the body. We also have a retail area for our clients.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I became a massage therapist after a debilitating injury when massage therapy helped me more than anything else I had tried. After 4 years I had so much business I needed to expand so I took on more qualified therapists and the retail area opened as a result of people asking for products.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are the only place in Greenville that I am aware of that offers MediCupping and two of our practitioners are certified in that modality. We also work with our clients (when they desire it) to teach them things to do outside the massage office to help their particular conditions/problem areas. Unlike most massage therapy practices, when you book an hour massage with us, you get the full 60 minutes on the table instead of the 50 that most places give.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Just the one location and no immediate plans to expand

We are convenient to I85 and 2 stop lights past the intersection of Haywood Road and Laurens Road. Turn at Parkins Mill between Walgreens and Fowler's Pharmacy. We are on the right and are the third and last business before it becomes residential.
What type of payments do you accept?
Cash or local check with proper and current SC Driver's license
Which areas do you service?
The greatest part of our clients are from Greenville and surrounding area but there are people who come from Aiken, and one who flies in from Wyoming and schedules when she is in town every few months.

What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Saturday and work by appointment although if a therapist is available we will see walk ins or last minute call ins. We have daytime (starting as early as 8AM) and evening up to 7PM if these are scheduled in advance. We also offer Saturday appointments; usually until about 3 or 4PM.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
A return visit and a referral of their friends, co-workers etc.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
I have so many! But I tell my clients that each of them is a snowflake and our therapies must be tailored to their individual needs. Doing this work has been a calling for me and God is my partner in this business. He has sent me so many wonderful people and I am truly blessed. Each day I start with a prayer thanking him for whomever he is sending my way that day and thanking him that I am an instrument for his work.
